A 28 year old man working for anime production company "A-1 Pictures" was found dead in his apartment in October 2010.

He worked on shows such as "Kannagi" and "Ookiku Furikabutte".

He had committed suicide as a result of depression, brought on from overworking at his job.

He was apparently working 600 hours a month, with over 100 hours overtime.

Installing custom ROMs on a LG G2 with Android 4.4.2

Installing a custom ROM on an LG G2 (D802 international version) updated to 4.4.2 is a pain.

Here are the steps to take:

1. Root it.

2. Install a custom recovery image.

At this point the custom recovery can be used to flash the ROM, but the screen will NOT rotate because AOSP does not support it. So you have to do one more step:

3. Modify the modem.

4. Download and flash your ROM and Google apps in the custom recovery.

5. Reboot and finished.

Body found hanging in a middle school art room

On the morning of April 13th in Tokorozawa City Saitama Prefecture, a bloody body of a man in his 30s was found hanging inside a middle school art room.

Police believe the man broke through the windows and hung himself inside the room. This is one of the worst places to kill yourself. Do it somewhere else where you won't bother others!!!

Sokushinbutsu - mummified Buddhist monks

Sokushinbutsu (即身仏) are Buddhist monks who turned themselves into mummies by starving themselves and then being buried alive.

They would spend years alone in a mountain and severely restrict their diet (only eating seeds, plants etc) to reduce body mass. Normally, living like this in northern Japan you would not last a day. In truth, most monks died during this training period.

When the time came, they asked to be buried in side a box where he would recite sutras while ringing a bell. When the bell stopped the monk would be dead and time to be taken out of the ground.

Why monks did this is not well understood. Perhaps they believed that putting themselves though intense suffering would ease the suffering of others.

File sharing website Ryushare.com raided, staff arrested

Vietnamese police has raided popular file sharing website Ryushare.com and arrested its staff.

The reason appears to be due to pornography (they were a major porn download host).

Some JAV download sites using their service have also shut down.
