This is why you DON'T trust a machine translation

I came across this post on Facebook (machine translation below): 



The first sentence: "とりあえず、9年勤めた会社辞めてシカゴ来た。"
Actually means: "In the meantime, I quit my job of 9 years and came to Chicago."
I don't know why Facebook ignored the "I quit" part.

Also, the 5th line: "南米の国手当たり次第行ってみる。"
Means: "I'll try visiting as many South American countries as I can."

The rest is acceptable (but unnatural), but these two are totally wrong.
