This is Enako (ăăȘă), a professional cosplayer. According to Yahoo, she makes over 1 million yen per month (over $10,000).
When she gets invited to anime events, for higher-paid jobs, she gets between $3000 and $4000 per appearance. She also sells her material (photo books etc) at comic markets, where she can earn $100,000 per event.
However, she says she spends a lot of money on costumes. If she gets them custom made, they can cost up to $10,000 each, with props (like weapons) costing between $1500 and $2000 each.
