Probably Kill Me Baby.
It tried too hard to be funny. And mostly failed.
Yasuna says: "If you watch it, you'll definitely find it moving! If you don't, feel free to bury me under a tree!"
Above: Number of BDs and DVDs sold. Sad.
Note: later they also released a BD box set which actually sold pretty well (because it was cheap).
But some hardcore fans exist.

Cool (lesser known) manga alert
Sekkachi Hakushaku to Jikan Dorobou (せっかち伯爵と時間どろぼう)
New manga by Koji Kumeta (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Katte ni Kaizo, Joshiraku) serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (since 2013)!
More of the same style as Katte ni Kazo and Zetsubou Sensei, black humor and timely gags.
Raw chapters (12 onwards)
Volume 1 on Amazon
Volume 2 on Amazon
(I've ordered these 2. Amazon Japan ship books overseas.)
I saw chapters 1 and 2 (probably poorly) English translated.

AKB48 members attacked at handshaking event in Iwate
An unemployed 24 year old man brandished a blade-like item at an AKB48 handshaking event in Takizawa city, Iwate on the afternoon of May 25th, causing injury to two AKB48 members (one being Rina Kawae) and one staff member.
The AKB48 members were in line in a tent shaking hands with fans when the man suddenly took out a saw and attacked the members and staff. He was quickly captured by staff and was arrested by police.
The three were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Moe 4-Koma Manga.
4-Koma (Yonkoma) manga is the common manga style where there are four panels (ki, sho, ten, ketsu).
A "Moe" 4-koma is the type featuring cute girls characters (moe meaning "to be attracted to"). They often don't follow the ki-sho-ten-ketsu pattern, they just have four panels. Another common feature is a serious lack of male characters. Examples include K-ON, Hidamari Sketch, Lucky Star, Nichijou, Kill Me Baby, Yuyushiki etc. many of which were made into anime.
How did these get so common?
Answer: Azumanga Daioh by Azuma Kiyohiko (1999 - 2002).
Most of the above manga are more or less copies of Azumanga Daioh - a group of schoolgirls not doing very much apart from talking with each other. In order to differentiate from Azumanga Daioh, there are small differences. K-ON gave the girls instruments, Lucky Star had an otaku girl as the main character, Hidamari Sketch had girls living in a dorm instead of their homes.
Why did Azumanga Daioh get so popular?
Because it had a group of attractive girls with wildly different personalities (a loli, a sporty one, an energetic one, a shy one, a lesbian etc. which all became manga staples) and its comedic value. Also of note is the fact that it finished cleanly after four volumes unlike K-ON or Lucky Star.
This manga seriously changed the industry in the early 2000s.

I got bored one day...
So here's a list of anime characters I like.
Aoi Yamada (Working)
She was the funniest character of the show.
Tomoko Kuroki (Watashi Ga Motenai No Wa Doukangaetemo Omaera Ga Warui)
I sympathize with her too much.
Moeka Kiryuu (Steins;Gate)
The shy glasses/big boobs girl, again I sympathize with her.
Nonon Jakuzure (Kill la Kill)
Token loli of the show with the distinctive voice (same as Haruko from FLCL).
Erio Touwa (Denpa Onna To Sheishun Otoko)
Cutest girl I have seen in a while.
Yozora Mikazuki (Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai)
Sena was too mainstream.
Kiri Komori (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei)
Best girl of the show. Quiet and nice.
Rei Ayanami (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
I find Asuka too bitchy.
Futaba Kon (Soredemo Machi Wa Mawatteiru)
The only tsundere I like.
Yuki Nagato (Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya)
I think it's obvious by now I like quiet girls.
Misaki Nakahara (Welcome to the NHK)
Old but so nice.
